Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra camera specs revealed
In a couple of months, Samsung will unveil the next generation of its flagship Galaxy S series. The Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup will be replaced by three smartphones: Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The latter became the object of a new leak. The well-known Chinese insider Ice Universe on his Twitter page shared new details about the next flagship Galaxy S21 Ultra. In particular, the leak concerns his cameras. According to the source, the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will receive a main camera with a main ISOCELL HM3 sensor with a resolution of 108 megapixels and a pixel size of 0.8 microns. The system will receive a module for laser focusing, but the ToF sensor, like the new iPhones, the next flagship Samsung will not have.

Interestingly, the current Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has a ToF scanner. It is a 0.3 megapixel sensor with f / 1.0 aperture. It is primarily used to provide depth information to blur the background in portrait photos. In addition to the 108-megapixel module at the back, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will have three more cameras. It will most likely be an ultra wide-angle module, a periscope lens sensor and a telephoto lens module. Their characteristics are still unknown.

According to rumors, the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series is scheduled for January 14th. The new smartphones will receive Infinity-O type display panels with a round cutout for the front camera and will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 or Samsung Exynos 2100 chipset, depending on the sales region.
